This is my public blog, having recently switched over from blogspot. Most of you can find me here, if you are a friend (even virtual) you can find me at my private blog.  My email is dictator (dot) princess (at) gmail (dot) com.  I respond to most emails, unless you are a troll.

I am an American convert to Islam from suburban New Orleans who went to college in Mississippi. I am living and working in Lausanne, Switzerland. If that isn’t enough to out me to any garden-variety troll I don’t know what is. I am for transparency and use the DP moniker elsewhere, but if you know who I am, please keep it to yourself. See what happens if you don’t on my “Some Blog Rules” page. On a lighter note, my public blog aims to be about random events and daily experiences (train rants, sound bytes, and general kvetching with not so smart observations about the world around me).

I like cats, American football, sunscreen and Islam (not in that order).

I hate trolls, dogs who lick or slobber, mouth noises, and people who talk on their cell phone in public for extended periods of time. But above all I hate driving with a burning passion. I have more than a passing dislike for Jeremy Piven but of course I want human beings to be my brother or sister in Islam one day so I draw the line at hate.

I am still undecided about snow.
