I make good coffee

I would just like to go on the record as saying that all my years of slaving it through coffee jobs were not lost, I make totally awesome coffee thank you very much.

I just had two of my own lattes, with the espresso poured over the milk, and the foam was quite nice and compact.

And I never really drink coffee any more.

::pats self on back::

For my readers from the HS days, do any of y’all remember the “That’s some good coffee?” I would pay cash money for copy of that. I snarfed just thinking about it.

    Isn’t it a cappuccino when you pour the espresso into the milk, and a latte when you pour the milk into the espresso?

    TBF, I always thought the difference between a latte and a cappucino was the amount of milk and foam, like a cappucino has more foam and a latte more milk. But then again I defer to the husband of an Italian so I could be wrong :)

    DP - The amount of foam DOES also make a difference. A latte has no, or very little foam. I think the whole concept of pouring the milk into the espresso helps the no/little foam end result. The cappuccino, on the other hand, has much more foam. In this case, the pouring of the espresso into the foamy milk helps keep the foam in tact. Plus, extra foam can be scooped on top. Of course, being of Finnish decent, I had no idea of any of this stuff before being advised by Mrs. TBF.

    The Italian has spoken! I do like my foam compact and not too much.
