I had to teach NH what “chiclet teeth” were tonight. He has this thing about how Americans all have perfect teeth, and this bothers him. We have Armageddon on in the background for white noise (no seriously) because he is upgrading the GPS and I am cleaning up my itunes (every week I delete podcasts from the previous week). In Armageddon, Ben Affleck is sporting some major chiclet teeth. So I was like “ewww chiclet teeth” and NH was like “ewww American teeth” so I took the time out of my busy itunes cleaning to google a picture of chiclets and show him exactly what I mean by Ben Affleck’s chiclet teeth. I now know that what I refer to as “chiclet teeth” are what NH means when he says he doesn’t like American teeth.

I am SO with him on American/Chiclet teeth. I can’t bear seeing a mouthtful of porcelain veneers that look like a mouthful of porcelain veneers. Frighteningly, this week I read that my beloved George Clooney has just had dental surgery- I am terrified to google a new picture of him in case he has ruined his smile with Chiclet teeth.

Am i thinking right? Chiclet teeth are what the girls in beauty pageants have? Bleah! I think of them as horse teeth!
