Ayaan Hirsi Ali is in Paris stumping for cash or something, and not only did I have to suffer the injustice of seeing that evil midget Sarkozy pontificate on the evening news, he was followed by the special guest Ms Ali. And no I am not going to say anything new about this chick that hasn’t been said before, I just need to have my rant because I generally enjoy watching the news.
I have no time or patience for that woman who has done nothing but stir up fitna and then cry poor her.
Oh and Rama Yade is sitting next to her. I don’t particularly have a problem with Rama Yade. Unlike Rachida Dati, Rama Yade doesn’t “deflect” from the issue of being “culturally” Muslim (and yes I know she married a Jewish guy so no smart aleck comments) but I just don’t get it how Rama Yade can just sit there and call her a “modern Voltaire.” The small bit of esteem I had for Rama Yade just went out the door.
I am all for dissention when it comes to opening dialogue. I am not for dissention when it comes to stirring sh*t. And Ms Ali is a sh*t stirrer in the first degree. Everything she stands for is a lie. And I am freakin tired of non-Muslims speaking for Muslims. I am tired of non-practicing “cultural” Muslims (e.g. people from Muslim families) speaking for Islam and talking about finer points of fiqh like they are experts. That goes for both Ms Ali and Ms Yade. Then these same people talk about how Muslims “don’t denounce terrorism” and stuff. Well maybe if people stopped listening to morons like Ayaan Hirsi Ali talk about Islam and actually listened Muslims to talk about Islam then we wouldn’t have this little problem.
Also, I am sorry, I don’t know which Big Beard passed a fatwa on Ms Ali, but that doesn’t mean I, as a Muslim, want her offed, and I refuse to think, again as a Muslim, that the majority of Muslims want to off her. I do think the majority of Muslims I know think she is an idiot and a fraud.
Why do these people get air time? Because no one wants to hear Muslims on tv unless they sell out or go with conventional wisdom. It’s not because we don’t try.

Word.
Awesome post. I agreed with every word. And I have to say that one very good thing about self-centered American media is that they don’t care about people like ali so they don’t air the bs.
I’m not even sure who rama yade is.
One and only time ignorance probably is bliss.

Salaam Alaikum,
I am not just clapping this post, but standing on my chair and cheering - well said!
The thing that bothers me most about her, is not that she spouts this professional victim crap, but that so many people hang on her every word.
